This exhibit was put on in Nov 2015 to May 2016 at the Smithsonian's Renwick as part of the show Wonder. Angus used insects from Malaysia, Thailand, and Papua New Guinea highlighting their beauty by arranging them in an enticing way while highlighting their natural beauty. The pink background of the wall is from the cochineal beetle that has long been used in consumer products to produce a red/pink color to our foods. More info on Jennifer Angus and her beautiful exhibit can be found at http://www.jenniferangus.com/ and more info about the exhibit can be found here.
